# Chromatic Homotopy Height Spectral Gate
## Purpose
Add chromatic homotopy theory as a height-layered spectral/decomposition primitive for the equation forest.
Chromatic homotopy theory studies stable homotopy theory through complex-oriented cohomology theories and formal group laws. The key project-useful idea is that complicated stable homotopy information can be decomposed into chromatic layers indexed by height.
Project translation:
```text
hard stable object
→ chromatic tower / height filtration
→ layerwise witnesses
→ homotopy-limit reconstruction
→ height residual / scar receipt
```
## Source concept
Chromatic homotopy theory studies complex-oriented cohomology theories from a chromatic point of view, based on Quillen's relation between cohomology theories and formal groups. In this view, theories are classified by chromatic level, i.e. the heights of the formal groups defining them via Landweber exactness. Typical objects include complex K-theory, elliptic cohomology, Morava K-theory, and tmf.
## Core tower
For a finite p-local spectrum `X`, the chromatic tower has form:
```math
\cdots
\to
L_{E(2)}X
\to
L_{E(1)}X
\to
L_{E(0)}X
```
The chromatic convergence theorem says the homotopy limit recovers the original finite p-local spectrum:
```math
X\simeq \operatorname*{holim}_{n} L_{E(n)}X
```
Interpretation:
```text
X is reconstructed from its height-filtered localizations.
```
## Morava K-theory layer probes
Morava K-theories `K(n)` act like height-specific probes. A spectrum can be tested by which chromatic heights see it:
```math
K(n)_*(X)
```
Project translation:
```text
K(n) = height-n detector / spectral probe
K(n)_*(X)=0 = this layer sees no mass
K(n)_*(X)≠0 = this layer carries witness mass
```
## Universal Shortcut Center packet
```math
\Gamma_{\mathrm{chromatic}}
=
(
X,
\pi_{\mathrm{tower}},
W_{\mathrm{height}},
R_{\mathrm{holim}},
I_{\mathrm{stable}},
G_{p\mathrm{-local}},
K,
\epsilon
)
```
| Packet term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `X` | hard stable homotopy object / spectrum |
| `pi_tower` | projection into chromatic localizations |
| `W_height` | layerwise height witnesses `L_E(n)X`, `K(n)_*(X)` |
| `R_holim` | homotopy-limit reconstruction map |
| `I_stable` | stable homotopy invariant preserved by tower |
| `G_p-local` | guard: finite p-local spectrum or stated localization context |
| `K` | cost of layerwise analysis versus direct computation |
| `epsilon` | missing height / convergence / reconstruction residual |
## FAMM object
```math
\mathfrak C_{\mathrm{ChromaticHeight}}
=
A_{16}(u_{\mathrm{chromatic}})
\otimes
[
\Sigma_X
+
\Sigma_p
+
\Sigma_n
+
\Sigma_{K(n)}
+
\Sigma_{L_{E(n)}}
+
\Sigma_{\mathrm{tower}}
+
\Sigma_{\mathrm{holim}}
+
\Sigma_{\mathrm{redshift}}
+
\Sigma_{\epsilon}
+
\Sigma_{\mathrm{receipt}}
]
```
## Project use
Chromatic homotopy becomes a model for multi-resolution proof/search:
```text
height 0 = rational / coarse layer
height 1 = K-theoretic periodic layer
height 2+ = deeper periodic / elliptic / Morava layers
all heights together = reconstructed stable object
```
This matches project primitives:
| Project layer | Chromatic analogue |
|---|---|
| FAMM scars | missing or inconsistent height layer |
| NUVMAP DAG | chromatic tower as reconstruction DAG |
| Spectral primitive | height-indexed spectra/localizations |
| Universal Shortcut Center | direct object replaced by layerwise witnesses |
| Anti-FAMM | searches for invisible height-layer residuals |
| BraidStorm | strands as local height probes / recombination paths |
## Redshift / blueshift note
Chromatic redshift says, roughly, that algebraic K-theory of a ring spectrum can raise chromatic complexity by one level. Project translation:
```text
operator applied to object
→ height shift
→ complexity moves upward or downward
→ FAMM records redshift/blueshift as route-pressure change
```
This is useful as a warning: applying a transformation can change the active height layer, so Warden must prevent false same-layer equivalence.
## Anti-FAMM / Warden checks
The Warden should check:
```text
wrong prime p
claim outside finite p-local guard
height layer omitted
homotopy-limit reconstruction assumed without convergence condition
Morava K-theory vanishing overinterpreted
redshift/blueshift ignored
```
Anti-FAMM shadow test:
```text
a perturbation invisible at heights ≤ n
but visible at height n+1
is a chromatic shadow.
```
## Stack placement
```text
CHROMATIC_HOMOTOPY_HEIGHT_SPECTRAL_GATE
→ Universal Shortcut Center Manifold
→ Spectral primitive C = UΛU^T
→ NUVMAP Delta-DAG tower receipt
→ Anti-FAMM height-shadow attack
→ BJW Warden guard
```
## Warden boundary
This gate imports chromatic homotopy as a structural analogy and formal mathematical reference for height-layered decomposition. It does not claim every project object is literally a spectrum unless a valid spectrum/localization model is supplied.
Allowed claim:
```text
Chromatic homotopy gives the project a rigorous model of height-layered reconstruction: decompose a hard stable object into local height witnesses, then reconstruct through a tower with explicit convergence guards.
```
Disallowed claim:
```text
Calling a project layer chromatic proves it has Morava K-theory, formal group laws, or chromatic convergence.
```
## Project sentence
Chromatic homotopy theory becomes the project's height-spectral reconstruction model: a hard object is not attacked whole, but filtered through local height witnesses, with missing or inconsistent layers becoming FAMM scars and the homotopy-limit reconstruction acting as the receipt for lawful recomposition.
