Spin structure of mesons:
- Spin-0: quark spins anti-aligned (S_q = 0) + L = 0 → J = 0
- Spin-1: quark spins aligned (S_q = 1) + L = 0 → J = 1
- Higher spins: orbital angular momentum L > 0 added to S_q

Spin structure of baryons:
- Spin-1/2: three quark spins combine to S_q = 1/2 + L = 0 → J = 1/2
- Spin-3/2: three quark spins combine to S_q = 3/2 + L = 0 → J = 3/2
- The proton and neutron are the only stable baryons (neutron unstable outside nucleus)

Spin Correlation and Entanglement (LHC Data)
Top quark spin correlation matrix (CMS/ATLAS 2024)
The spin correlation matrix C for a tt̄ pair is defined as:
C_{ij} = (σ_{ij} - δ_{ij}) / 3
where σ_{ij} = 4 ⟨s_i ⊗ s_j⟩ is the normalized spin correlation. The entanglement condition is:
|Tr(C)| > 1 (PPT criterion for entanglement)

A spin-1/2 particle is a qubit (2 states = 1 bit).
The Standard Model fermions are 48 qubits (if distinguishable).
The total Hilbert space dimension of SM particles: 2⁴⁸ × 3¹² × 1¹ ≈ 10²⁰.
This table contains no speculative physics. All values are from the Particle Data Group (PDG) 2024 Review or the 2024 ATLAS/CMS top entanglement papers.
